STEP 1: Intro to CrossFit

We want to make sure everyone is set up for success in their health and fitness journey. To do so, we have designed a series of classes with the main goal of teaching the basics or "fundamentals". This class will cover things like the names of movements, how to perform them properly, understanding class flow, setting goals, factors to being healthy and fit outside of the gym, and much more.

We also offer 1-on-1 personal training sessions for athletes who may want more attention and an individualized program.

STEP 2: Group Classes

Once you’re competent in the CrossFit movements and reach our graduation requirements, you are free to begin group classes. During group classes, you’ll push yourself and sweat it out with like-minded individuals, as you compete with yourself (and others, if you choose) for rounds, time, points, glory, emotional satisfaction and spiritual growth. You will reach new physical and emotional levels you didn’t think were possible, and you will undoubtedly find yourself with a new social and support network, who will help you on your continued path to greater health and happiness. We strive to maintain a 10:1 student to coach ratio. This ensures you will continue to receive technical coaching even as your CrossFit and fitness abilities improve.

STEP 3: Specialty Programs

Like you, we strive for constant improvement; this is the purpose of our specialty programs. These programs are for those looking for additional services that are beyond the scope of the regular group classes. Learn more about our Specialty Programs here.

For years, we've wondered why people said one thing about fitness but did the complete opposite.

    • "If I hit the gym hard this winter, I'll look great on the beach next summer..." but no one does.
    • "I am going to cut down on processed foods and drink less..." which only makes us feel guilty on Sunday morning.
    • Or my personal favorite... "I'm just too busy to go to the gym..."

Everyone one of us has something we want to improve about our bodies, whether it's losing those last 15 lbs, or putting on some muscle. Some of us just want to have more energy so we can enjoy life after work.

Looking great and feeling amazing is an integral part of a happy life.

And yet so many of us fall short. It's certainly not because of a lack of options. There are a bazillion blogs about healthy eating and a bazillion free workout plans that promise six pack abs in six weeks-- but does this information really help us?

The worst part is, we really want to look better, but we don't know how to take the right steps to achieve that goal.

Here are Hudson River CrossFit we've dedicated our lives to helping others look and feel better. We've studied from top schools, dense books, and some of the best fitness pros in the industry.

We act as our own crash test dummies.

Not only that, we've combined this knowledge with science on behavioral change and psychology. We know if we send you an article with "the six magical superfoods for six pack abs" that it wouldn't make any real difference. What else is missing?

We've seen the pattern a million times before -- "this is year, I am finally going to lose those last 15 lbs!" -- then the inevitable yo-yo back a couple months later.

What are the real road blocks here? What is actually holding you back?

Intimidation: You get nervous when you start at a new facility. Am I going to look stupid? Are those fit people making fun of me? Am I not in good enough shape to start working out?

Boring work outs: You are bored of doing the same old workout routine that you found on Bodybuilding.com or Shape Magazine.

Too much information: Should you cut out carbs before 6pm? Are deadlifts bad for you? Do you have the right shoes for pose running?

No Time: How can you possibly find time to work out, you work like a madman? The truth is you can fit this into your lifestyle, but only if it's a priority.

Behind the scenes at Hudson River CrossFit, we've been tackling these problems and building systems to deliver a real, lasting, solution. We are different than other gyms in that we also help you during the 23 hours you are outside of the gym each day.

In one short year, we've helped hundreds of people just like you sweat through over 100,000 workouts. In the process we've grown into one of the largest CrossFit gyms in the world. The reason: what we do works

What we offer is so much more than a simple gym membership. When you're a member of the Hudson River CrossFit Family, you have access to all of our results driven programs, our expert coaches, and our private support community.

Imagine what you could accomplish if you looked and felt better -- every day for the rest of your life.

So here's the pitch: sign up for your Intro to Fitness. It's free and we won't sit you in a dark room with a pushy salesman for six hours after your class. You're under no obligation to pay us anything, but do know that our prices are very fair.

Hudson River CrossFit members should see their membership as something not to be endured, but to be enjoyed. We don't want you sticking around if you're not happy here. It's that simple. So, apply yourself, apply our program, and the results are guaranteed.

So what are you waiting for? Get with the program, will ya?
